Island Lab · Pipeline integrity

What's what, at every step.

Every number in the pipeline, by where it actually comes from, locally measured, public/open, model-derived, or synthetic. We use all four. The point of this page is that nobody ever confuses them. Toggle between what's real today and where each step is going.

The honest read, today

  • Genuinely live & real, Reckoning's Open-Meteo / NOAA / NDBC / USGS pulls (Open); the tracker's Supabase device feed (Local), whenever a device is reporting.
  • Real model, honest output, the Posidonia engine's diagnostics (Derived), but driven by a synthetic demo year. Present it as "how the model behaves," not "what the meadow did."
  • Designed illustration, the meadow map's per-zone stress, depth and advisories, and the entire action demo. Real logic, invented numbers. Don't quote them as measurements.
  • The line for any room, "the models and the logic are real; the specific Pollica numbers are synthetic until the buoy goes in and the public feeds are wired, and this is exactly how we keep that visible."
